How fast the whole game drums. Patapon-style games use 120. Slower is easier when you're starting out.

Sgt. Salt's hints
Short keeps hints to a few words. Boss fights are always hint-free so nothing covers the boss.
Graphics
Auto lowers the picture sharpness on slower devices so the game stays smooth. The beat timing is never affected.

Who's marching?
Who it's for
Children aged 9 to 12. The goal is to learn steady pulse, tempo, and rhythmic patterns through play, with only two thumbs. Comedy and villains bring them back. The rhythm practice is the real game underneath.
| Command | Pattern | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| MARCH | BONK BONK BONK HONK | Walk forward |
| ATTACK | HONK HONK BONK HONK | Charge at a nearby enemy, then hit twice (three times in Fever) |
| DODGE | BONK HONK BONK HONK | Duck and cover: 80% less damage for 8 beats. If a Brute is in your face, the squad also scrambles back a few steps. |
| DIP | HONK BONK BONK BONK | Heal, and wake flopped nuggets |
Rescued squad types: Corn Dog Lancer (Ch.1, rewards the charge), Flag Bearer (Ch.2, rewards perfect timing), Saucerer (Ch.3, rewards long chains with Sauce Storm and Sauce Bubble), Popcorn Archer (Ch.4, off-beats).
Fever: every chained command adds 1 to the meter, or 2 if all four taps were perfect. FEVER at 3, SUPER at 6, MAX at 10. A mistake only drops you one level. Fever is also armor: the squad takes 20% less damage in FEVER, 35% in SUPER and half in MAX, so staying on the beat keeps you alive.
Bosses: boss attacks deal half damage, and bosses have much more health (Baron ×4, Grand Tofu ×6, Queen and Sir Florette ×8), so a boss fight is a long rhythm battle instead of two hits. If the squad flops, the boss keeps the damage you already did.
| Chapter | Boss | Rhythm skill |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · The Great Gravy Heist | Baron Von Brussels | Read a 16-beat attack pattern that shortens to 12 |
| 2 · Kale Swamp | Queen Kaleopatra | Call and response: she drums a "bitter rain" pattern, you answer it |
| 3 · Tofu Tundra | The Grand Tofu | Calm, steady timing: monks bounce off rushed commands, the tempo drops in the Slow Snowfield, and the boss teaches waiting while he meditates |
| 4 · Cauliflower Castle | Sir Florette and the cloud knights | Hearing the off-beat (the "and" between beats) while still drumming on the beat. Storm clouds and Florette's sword combos include ANDs. A perfect DODGE parries. The castle speeds up by 10 BPM. |
| Finale · The Grain of Doom | Emperor Quinoa | Everything combined: a mixed gauntlet, an echo canyon, a slow tower (−10), then a drum duel. He drums a real command; echo it to smash his grain shield. In between, off-beat grain rain. At half health he speeds the beat up (+10). He is never defeated: at zero he joins a jam session, and the story ends with everyone in the band. |
